Where do our ideas come from? For the amount of time we spend in our heads, we rarely spend time exploring how any of it works. And when we do finally sit down, breathe, and attempt to focus inward, we see how truly chaotic a mind at rest can be. Ideas and thoughts bubble up seemingly from nowhere, only to drift away as quickly as they came.
At some point in the recent past, an idea emerged and got stuck in our minds; to brew with Einkorn wheat– an ancient grain with an agricultural origin that dates back more that 12,000 years. A grain with a complexity that requires more careful consideration; The type of consideration and attention to detail that we knew our friends at @thetestbrewery would appreciate, so we asked them to join us for the endeavor.

NEUROGENESIS
10.1% Triple India Pale Ale
collaboration with The Test Brewery
A massive bed of pilsner, oats, and einkorn wheat create a strikingly complex and exceptionally soft pillow on which we layered wave after wave of oily hop compounds from @eggershops Nelson, Citra, @crosbyhops Deep Cut Cascade, Egger’s Motueka, and @freestylehops Motueka Hop Kief. We are getting overwhelming notes of fresh cut mango, sugared pineapple, and juicy mandarin slices.

Quietly behind the scenes we’ve been tinkering with some of the core tenets of our hazy program to continue to evolve the aim and sharpen the blade. With a fresh crop of @eggershops at our disposal, we have the chance to dive in, get creative, and let the results wash over us.

BENEATH THE WAVES
8.5% Double India Pale Ale
A wonderfully soft bed of pilsner, oats, and wheat cushion a melange of Egger’s hops. Our hand selected lots of Pesharine, Motueka, and Riwaka hops play off one another manifesting waves of sweet peaches, soft ripened papaya, and key lime zest.

Let’s talk for a moment about Daylily. We make a lot of it, and for really good reason. This beer has been with us from the beginning, and continues to delight us with every sip. Super drinkable, yet packing the sensory power of a much bigger beer, we brew Daylily with the intent to bring you all the bold hoppy saturation of a Double IPA, without the heavy ABV. It seems every time we sip a new batch of Daylily, it’s only getting better. Do you agree?

DAYLILY
5.8% Hazy Pale Ale
Our hyper-specific blend of barley, oats, and wheat are what set the stage for Daylily to shine. Paired with our hand selected lots of Citra and Mosaic hops, the ingredients combine for a bold, bright, and yet deceptively easy drinking hoppy pale ale. Notes of sweet citrus, oily cannabis, and pungent pine needles dance across the senses and settle into a smooth and slightly dry finish bringing you right back in for another sip.

We had a chance to chat with our new friends @brasseriebascanada all the way up there in Quebec about all things beer and music. Reminiscing over the hardcore music scene from years ago, and reminded that the beer scene tends to capture everything we loved about those years. It never went away. It changed as all things do, but we’re still out here...

BRIGHT LIGHTS STILL SHINING

A grist of pilsner, oats, and wheat and a selection of our favorite 2026 @eggershops offerings. Egger’s Nelson, Egger’s Riwaka, Egger’s Pesharine, and a touch of Nelson Kohia Hop Kief. Notes of everything we’ve come to love from our friends at Egger’s. Pungent tropical fruit, bold oily cannabis, sweet citrus candies, and a touch of brilliant white grape skins.

LUNAR TEAR
7.1% New England India Pale Ale
A grist of pilsner, oats, and wheat and hopped with a selection of 2026 NZ hop madness. Freestyle Nelson, Egger’s Rakau, Egger’s Eshcapade, and our favorite home grown Strata. Sticky sweet notes of tropical candies, ripened passionfruit, fresh papaya, all doused in dank oily cannabinoids.

We really don’t know what to say about these beers... Conceptually absurd, and packed to the gills with fresh fruit, our foray into smoothie sour ales has mostly left us wondering where we can take them next. Today we have a new answer, and another winner.

Just in time for the middle of summer we finally got around to making that Mexican Lager we’ve promised a few too many people. If we’re being honest, we’re really glad it’s finally here. Something about the smooth and crisp malt sweetness of a Mexican lager paired with a ripened lime wedge hits just right in these warmer months. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

A crisp bed of pilsner malt with just the right amount of flaked corn to bring that perfect touch of sweetness to this otherwise dry and refreshing lager.

Part of our enthusiasm for this industry has always been the call to the wild. Branching off the beaten path to explore something different. Not too long ago we had the chance to chat with a new brewing friend about brewing with Farro. That conversation lead us to a unique cultivator of heirloom grains. Ever curious, we began exploring the possibilities. Today we’re delighted to finally share one of them...

EASE
3.5% English Mild Ale
Brewed with Slow Roasted Farro — cultivated from an heirloom spelt, then roasted slowly and carefully until it develops a deep, rich and toasty character, like the last few minutes of bread in the oven. It lays down a warm, biscuity accent that complements the soft malty sweetness of our favorite pale Maris Otter base, stretching it out a little further than usual.

English milds have quickly become one of our favorite styles to produce. Simple, small, and easy to drink, but often bursting with aromatics and flavor that tend to punch well above their weight. We hope you will share some appreciation for this more subtle style like we do.
